Kalispell, MT

12

Kalispell, Montana was my favorite place that I visited on my trip. It was only about 2 hours south of the Canadian border which was very cool. I had never been so far north in my life and wasn't very used to it. For example, my first night up there, it snowed. The next night the temperature dropped to around 30 degrees, it was the first week of June. The animals didn't care if a car was coming down the street or not, they were going to cross it anyway. The small things to the people up north were big differences that I was experiencing in my life. The city was awesome. It was a small town but it had a charming feel to it which made it feel like a southern mountain town. During my trip to the town, I decided to go flyfishing. Kalispell and Whitefish, Montana are both known for being world renown fly fishing destinations. However, in my journey I only was able to snag a few wild brown trout no bigger than 10 inches. The next day I went into town and bumped into a singer/songwriter named Jael Johnson. She has an amazing voice and is going to be the next Adel. You heard it here first. I invited her to come do some night photography at a near by lake called Flathead Lake. The second night was spent taking pictures until about 3:00am over a glass smooth lake. The next morning I unfortunately had to pack up and leave the amazing little town but not before I went through Glacier National Park. Glacier is very similar to Yellowstone in that it had a bunch of lakes and was a bit rainy when I went through it. Kalispell was an awesome town and I will most definately be going back up to visit, hopefully I wont be alone next time...
